Aude Medori
Born in 1978, lives and works in Marseille.
After a CAP in jewelry, she joined AFEDAP in Paris in 2007 under the direction of Brune Boyer, where she obtained a diploma in contemporary jewelry with the congratulations of the jury.
In 2009, she founded with Galatée Pestre and Laurence Verdier, the GLA collective (acrostic made up of the initials of their first names). Since then, she has participated alone, or with GLA, in various group exhibitions (eg: Fraises - Cols extravagants at the Musée des Manufactures de Dentelles, Retournac, 2009; Jewelery from words at the Institut français, Munich, 2011; Reflet (s) at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, 2013).
For the Jewelry Circuits, she notably presents pieces at the Museum of Decorative Arts for the exhibition In the Line of Sight, Scenes of Contemporary Jewelry in France. Shaped from literary or philosophical texts, Résonances thus pays tribute to various authors, whose language has inspired anger, desire or curiosity.
In February, at the Samagra gallery, for the exhibition Words in the Body, she presents works where the gesture participates as much in the manufacture of the jewel as in its meaning. “Bend, roll, twist or squeeze in one's hands” thus resonate with literary and philosophical texts, or with words chosen by the wearer of the jewel.
